"We have had a great experience in the restaurant from the beginning right until the end. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. The menu is great and the food is delicious. They also offer a 6 meal course for 30 euro if you wish to try more from the menu. The atmosphere is fantastic as they also have a terrace which we didn't know about. Make sure you reserve a table."

Eagles and gourmet food, 24 hours in Cáceres
We booked El 13 de San Antón (the name is also the address; open 9am to 5pm and 8pm to 1am Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm Sunday, closed Monday) because its degustación (taster) menu hooked us. It consisted of exactly the sort of contemporary take on traditional food we were looking for. Despite the reservation being for 9pm we were still amongst the first diners to arrive.
Seven recommendations for a romantic getaway in Cáceres
The urban aesthetic changes in the Jewish quarter, also called the San Antón neighbourhood. After walking through the entrance gateway called the Puerta del Río you’ll be whisked away into the past once again. The streets here are steeper and some, such as Callejón de Don Álvaro, are surprisingly narrow.
