Bihotz Café can brew coffee and tea with the best of them, but that’s not the only type of brew you’ll find here. With salvaged armchairs grouped around a 1950s coffee table, Bihotz (which means heart) is known for its constantly changing selection of craft beers, so squeezing through to the bar on a Saturday night is no mean feat. Bilbao la Vieja se ha transformado tanto desde la décadas de los 80 y 90 que cuesta reconocer la zona. Note that there are at least two bars in Bilbao named Bihotz. One of them is near Penguin Cafe. While that particular bar does have a lot of TVs and is a popular place for watching Athletic Bilbao, who play at the nearby San Mamés Stadium, the beer selection isn’t really craft – though they do have decent pintxos.
