"The hotel are called gourmet so the restaurant are ambitious and price and menu wise it seem to aim for Michelin star or mention.
Here are our opinion on that project:
Appetizer: Michelin quality.
Bread: From the supermarket no chance of a star if you do not bake your own bread
Olive oil: amazing local oil - Michelin quality
Starters: 2xprawns better prawn dishes then restaurants with Michelin mention in Alicante. But not star quality at all.
Main: Really good pork, black pepper corns a brilliant idea. Tasteless and not well prepared fish with boring vegetables. Maybe a mention but far from a star.
Dessert: Nothing special had to look at the pictures to remember what we got.

Located in 5* Villa Venecia Boutique Hotel, Llum De Mar was the first meal we had on our trip and was by far, my favourite. We had a menu made for us (presented on a scroll!) to try several dishes served on the menu, including Duck Ham Salad, Tenderloin Carpaccio with Parmesan, Wild Hake and Beef Cheek with Quinoa. For dessert, that pink plate of goodness was Strawberry compote, Yoghurt Ice Cream and Candy Floss!
