Set in Benalmadena Pueblo on a slight incline that leads to the town's local church, El Muro serves up a delicious mix of Spanish and International dishes in a rustic setting with spectacular views of the Mediterranean and surrounding countryside. The a la carte menu includes monkfish casserole with prawns, mussels and clams in a white wine, a sirloin 'brochetta' with layers of tomato, pepper and onion, served with home-made potato chips and 'chimichurri' sauce, and a chocolate and orange mousse for dessert. El Muro also specialise in made to order seafood, meat and mixed Paella's for parties of between 2 and 8 people.

Serving a mixture of continental and Spanish dishes, this restaurant has spectacular views of both the mountains of Mijas and the Mediterranean coast. Serving succulent T-bone steaks, pork fillet stuffed with Manchego cheese and figs, grilled salmon, sautéed asparagus with mushrooms or traditional seafood paella, El Muro has two dining rooms and a spacious outside terrace. They also offer vegetarian and gluten free options, including vegetable paella and Thai-style noodles with lemon and coconut.

When booking a table at El Muro, do yourself a favour and request an outside table – the views from the veranda over the bay below are exceptional and provide a beautiful backdrop to an exquisite meal. As for the food itself, the menu is not extensive but everything on it is cooked to absolute perfection, offering a great blend of traditional Spanish cuisine with a handful of more international options.
