Reviews Summary

This restaurant is lauded for its honest, high-quality seafood and unique dishes like Buñuelo de bacalao and Rosa de atún. While many praise the excellent food and attentive service, some find the pricing a bit high for the experience. A few reviews mention occasional issues with fish preparation or less memorable dishes, and one diner reported an unexpectedly poor and unfriendly service experience.

"Honest seafood with best quality/price ratio around. Buñuelo de bacalao and Rosa de atún were outwordly. Refreshingly away from more "traditional" places. A unique voice in the heart of Almería. Totally recomendable"

"Stayed at the AC Marriott hotel right around the corner. Wanted something close and chill. Amazing food, kind and attentive staff, and an overall great experience! Some say it’s a bit expensive, but I feel that it reflects the quality of the experience you will have!"

"(Translated by Google) A disappointing visit, because it looked very good.

The starter menu is not bad, the gilda is generous and the tuna flower is very original, the buñuelo is not very convincing and the ink ali oli that was advertised is barely noticeable.

But the disappointment was the second menu, you can't advertise yourself as a seafood grill and not have fish dishes on the menu and only one type of grilled fish, we ate a squid that wasn't bad (nor memorable, of the bunch ) although it was quite small and I have doubts that it was a jig as advertised. Grilling shrimp is something any beach bar does as well as anywhere else.

The impression is that the menu is easy oriented towards family events (grilled shrimp, meat for the children) that is advertised with another claim to be different.

The atmosphere was sad, because it was empty upon arrival because there were two very large reservations that arrived later, and although that is no one's fault, two huge tables of families with children is very noisy and unwelcoming for the smaller tables.

The wine list is short, little known, somewhat expensive and it seems very strange to me that in Spain among the recommended reds there is neither a Rioja nor a Ribera.

The price is not excessive (I suppose that helps attract family gatherings) although since there are dishes by weight you can be surprised depending on the quantities you order.

The service is not bad, they are attentive, more or less fast, although the place has the air on too strong to compensate for the heat of the grill.

(Original)
