Reviews Summary
Little Addis Cafe is celebrated for its authentic and incredibly flavorful Ethiopian cuisine, particularly the generous Beyaynetu vegan platter and Mahberawi meat platter, all served on soft injera. Diners praise the fresh, organic ingredients and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. While the food is consistently a hit, some reviewers note the decor is simple, but the culinary experience more than compensates.
"I had a great meal at this restaurant. We arrived early and the food was freshly prepared. I tried their espresso and traditional coffee. Definitely recommend the latter."

"I have had the luck to enjoy for the first time Ethiopian food in this restaurant, and it was incredible. Homemade with fresh organic products and with heart, I felt the authentic taste of the Ethiopian cuisine. The stews are deliciously flavourful. The coffee was also great. One of these gems that talk to your soul."

"Little Addis Cafe 🇪🇹 was my first introduction to delicious Ethiopian cuisine. The food is simply delicious and served very quickly. I had the vegan Beyaynetu sharing plate which was a half portion.
Their portions sizes are very generous, even a half portion can feed two people, it costs R110 and is 100% worth it. You get a tray with yummy injera and 10 different dishes to pair it with. From yummy chickpeas, potatoes and lentils, to cabbage, spinach and a slightly spicy tomatoe.
By the way, their menu is more than just a menu, it’s full of interesting information related to Ethiopian cuisine and culture and it’s the first time I’ve actually read a menu like I’m reading an informative book.
Definitely try some coffee as well while you’re here, Ethiopians after all are known for their coffee 👍🏽👍🏽
Service was quick and very friendly. If you’ve ever wanted to try Ethiopian food I highly recommend this location 👍🏽👍🏽"

Kassa and his friendly staff serve up affordable and delectable Ethiopian cuisine at this small restaurant at 44 Stanley—there's a selection of options for meat lovers and vegans (as Ethiopians regularly fast by not eating animal products). While the decor may be simple, comprising of a few photos and paintings of Ethiopia, the food steals the show like Beyaynetu, a vegan combo dish where lentil stew, pumpkin, chickpea gravy, sautéed spinach, curried potatoes, pickled beetroot, and tomato salsa is laid out on injera (a sourdough flat bread). The food is intended to be shared and eaten with your hands, ask Kassa can show you how, after you thoroughly wash your hands at the outdoor sink (you can also ask for cutlery).
