What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bao Down is frequently praised for its incredible flavor explosions in their signature bao buns and the overall top-tier presentation and atmosphere. Many diners highlight the unique dishes and the beautiful decor. However, some reviews mention slow or inattentive service, and a few found the food to be average or overcooked, with small portions that did not meet expectations for the price.
"Fantastic food (No like really Fantastic!) cozy atmosphere and welcoming service. Hands down the best bao buns I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back!"
Robyn Anthony
"I had high expectations for this restaurant based on all the great reviews, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the hype - especially since it was my birthday. After being seated, we waited almost 10 minutes before anyone even brought me a menu, which set the tone for the rest of the service - slow and inattentive.
The food itself was decent. The portion sizes were small but quite filling, so no complaints there. However, the overall experience was a complete letdown. I expected at least decent service, but it felt like an afterthought. For a special occasion, this was disappointing."

"Bao Down is an absolute gem! The bao buns were a flavor explosion—some of the tastiest food I’ve ever had. If you love bold flavors and a touch of spice, this spot is for you. The presentation, atmosphere, and food are top-tier. Book ahead and request an outdoor seat for the full experience—beautiful decor and amazing staff make this place unforgettable. It’s a must-visit and will definitely become a regular spot!"
