#damedramesimaidane #mahala #mahalauadracului #stefanluchian #bucurestivechi #bucurestiinterbelic

Reviews Summary

Mahala offers a unique dining experience with modern Romanian cuisine in a beautifully decorated historic building. Diners praise the exquisite starters, tender main courses like veal cheeks and sea bass, and the charming terrace ambiance. However, some find the prices to be on the higher side, and a few reviewers noted inconsistencies in service and less-than-ideal indoor ambiance.

"Very good food, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Some of the menu items sound fancy but don't worry, you won't leave this place starving like at other fancy food restaurants. The desert was also really good, if you are in a group of people I recommend trying out all of them. It's a bit expensive but for once, the price is actually worth it! The location is also inside a historic building"

Ștefan Cuvin

"A well selection of dishes that might suit your taste. We had fish, lamb and vegetarian course. All verry nice, and full of taste. The selection of wines complement very well any dish you may chose."

Florin Stanciu

"It turned out that the kitchen in this restaurant is a typical Romanian. So we tried meet dishes (lamb shank and beef cheeks). And a vegetable kind of 'adjapsandal' starter to put on a bread.
We found a waiter way of communication too the communication style is too free with jokes on the edge dont remember his ñame, black hair.
Good was ok, but really nothing special. Rather Costly, for these three dishes and 2 lemonades 350 lei."

Few tourists venture out to this restaurant, but it is definitely a local favorite!. It is about a 20 minute walk from Old Town Bucharest and is located in a more residential area – which is perhaps why tourists often don’t bother to make the trek out here. It is a classy but cozy little restaurant with an impressive menu, featuring mostly Romanian cuisine.
