Reviews Summary
Diners are drawn to Restaurant Vânătoresc Furnica for its unique, rustic hunter's lodge ambiance and its traditional Romanian game dishes. While the atmosphere and some unique offerings like the papanasi are praised, others found the food portions small, prices high, and the taste inconsistent, with some dishes arriving cold or lacking flavor.
"Oh what a place! The interior is amazing: stuffed animals, bears, tons of skulls on the walls - very atmospheric!
The waitress (a lady with short dark hair) was very kind and nice.
We took 3 different soups, hot wine, a boar meat and a bear meat! Then we also had papanasi and we fell in love - what a tasty dessert! The overall experience is very positive, the food is tasty and the stuff - nice."

"We chose this restaurant because it’s close to Peles Castle… The prices aren’t bad… Four of us ate for about €45… the portions were sufficient… Although the food could have been better… I had grilled sirloin, and it tasted like nothing… It wasn’t accompanied by anything either… If you want salad or potatoes, you have to order it separately… It’s a restaurant that does its job… But it’s nothing special… If I were to return to that area… I would try another restaurant… although I repeat, the experience wasn’t bad…"

"Nice Atmosphere, Friendly and inviting staff.
Stopped here while I was on the 2 castles tour from Bucharest.
Started with a bowl of soup, quite warming for the weather only needed a tad bit of pepper. For the main dish I ordered the stuffed cabbage, very flavorful with the sauerkraut. Was not a fan of the mashed potatoes, dry and no flavor; maybe it’s the altitude 🤷🏼"
