"We came across this spot while walking through after our original plans fell through and I'm so glad we did. Service feels like family and the food is super good. I had the prawn curry and some yucca fries. Both had excellent flavors and textures and were cooked perfectly. The sangria was yummy too. I'd love to go back for another meal."

"Meat and Chicken Samosas in Cantinho do Aziz (Lisbon)
Cantinho do Aziz’s samosas are an explosion of African flavor with a homemade touch. The meat ones have a juicy, spicy filling, with warm notes of cumin and pepper, perfectly balanced. The chicken ones are softer but just as tasty, with a touch of turmeric and onion that highlights without overshadowing the main flavor.
The dough is crispy and light, well fried, without excess fat. Served hot, they are ideal as a starter or to share. The accompaniment with optional hot sauce further enhances the experience.
An essential bite if you visit this Mozambican corner in the heart of Lisbon. Authentic, tasty and well prepared!"

"We visited Cantinho do Aziz as part of a wonderful culinary tour in Lisbon, and it was one of the highlights of the experience.
This place has such a special story – it began as a family business led by talented and determined kids, and over time became a beloved spot that serves authentic, flavorful food with heart.
We tried both the chicken and beef samosas, and they were absolutely delicious – crispy, perfectly spiced, and bursting with flavor.
The homemade hot sauce is extremely spicy – be careful! My partner loved it and couldn’t stop talking about it.
I had a glass of white wine and Alex had a beer – both paired really well with the food.
Although it was a warm day and we were sitting outside, the atmosphere was relaxed and the space had a cozy, inviting feel to it.
It’s clear that this place has soul – not just in the food, but in the story and the people behind it.
We’re already curious to come back on our own, outside of the tour, to explore more of the menu and enjoy a full meal here.
Highly recommended if you want a truly local and memorable food experience in Lisbon!"
