What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pátio do Petisco Torre is celebrated for its authentic Portuguese petiscos and cozy, traditional atmosphere, offering a genuine taste of local dining. While many praise the delicious food, especially the spare ribs and fried prawns, and the friendly service, some reviewers have noted inconsistent steak quality and occasional service issues during busy periods.
"Ery traditional Portuguese restaurant. Aleays full of people and most of them local, which shows that food quality is simply great! I was enjoying local food, atmosphere and service. This restaurant was far better compared to some of restaurants on the coast ;)"

"The other reviews here are victim shaming themselves or they have Stockholm syndrome…
The steak here is something I would expect from a random side of the road diner.
The picture looks way better than what was actually served… thanks Apple and lens enhancements.
We ordered a few items, but came here because of the glowing steak reviews. What we got was an aged steak that was overcooked and burnt on the outside (not charred there’s a difference), and they somehow managed to completely leave the steak completely purple in the inside and dry it out on the ends.
We talked it over for about a minute or two to decide if we would send it back… and we felt something was weird when they brought the steak over because our waitress scattered after bringing it over.
We decided to ask the waitress to fire it again because it was purple. Medium rare is what we asked for and clarified, which she repeated in English and then in Portuguese- we confirmed both. After getting the steak back it was almost well done…. And we rejected the steak.
From the moment the steak was dropped at the table the interaction with the waitress and staff completely changed from okay to avoidant and passive aggressive in some capacity.
As a customer I know that if I personally send it back it’s because there’s something genuinely wrong. Unfortunately we had such high hopes for this place and we were greatly disappointed with the service after a clear mess up by the kitchen and the waitress got upset because we sent it back and never came back to the table. This is kind of rude and unprofessional. The restaurant business is a service industry and we are not rude. We explained what we got and how we felt about it… and though it was be an easy fix."

"We arrived without reservation, full restaurant, and despite everything the waiter found us a table in 5 minutes top time. Superb service, really good typical Portuguese dishes and fair prices. Thank you for this great moment, we will come back for the 7th time ;)"

The best restaurants with outdoor seating in Cascais
The Cascais natives behind this restaurant know all about it, and use snacks to draw customers all day long. Almost all patrons prefer to sit outside (try booking a table), where they can go for potato peels, fried “peixinhos da horta” vegetables, eggs with asparagus and other treats.
cascais food

When you are looking for a local easy going restaurant with Portuguese Petiscos (or tapas), this is the place!. You can either sit inside or outside but always try to reserve since the place will be packed. They serve several small plates of meat, fish, cheese, scrambled eggs, bread etc, so the best is to order a few and share.
