"La Lucha at parque Canepa in the heart of Gamarra , is a hit or miss , I been at several location of La Lucha and in all them de famous Pan con Chicharrón ( 20.70 soles about 5 US Dollars) is very consistent in flavor and the amount of chicharrón you get in the sándwich is very decent . well after waiting almost 20 minutes for the sándwich for my surprise the sándwich was almost flat like it did not have anything inside , well I opened and well there was plenty of sweet potatoes , 3 miserable pieces of chicharrón and some onions , I went and made a complaint the guy who is the food runner asked me if I paid extra money for more chicharrón , my answer was : I been in several of your locations and the amount of chicharrón is way more than that .What really made me upset is the guy who looks like the manager/ cashier / was in the cooking area , my question is how the person in charge of this place does not notice the sándwiches in general were coming out with very little amount of pork , I started checking all the tables around me and all the sándwich were the same almost empty , almost flat . Be aware of that !!!"

The Best Peruvian Restaurants In Lima
This Limeño take on the sandwich is easy to overlook, but very much part of the city’s best dining. Located on the edge of Parque Kennedy in the Miraflores district, this open-air sandwich bar is incredibly popular, evident from the lines wrapped around the counter. A proper meal at La Lucha includes a sanguche (try the chicharón – crispy fried pork with potatoes), some of the best french fries in the city, and a delicious fruit-drink sourced from Peru’s array of tropical vegetation.

Words can’t express the dearest devotion I have for La Lucha. I ate here about four times in one week. Seriously, all I need in life is the chicharrón sandwich with camote (sweet potato) fresh pineapple juice, and papas — a winning mash up that instantly brings a satisfied smile to my stomach.

Guide To Lima's Restaurant Scene And Where To Eat
Lima is of the sandwich variety, whereas Cusco is of the on a plate with corn and potatoes. I’ve had both and while both have delicious, tender, and substantially well flavored pork, the sandwich variety is more my style. Lucha is a Lima staple.
