The timing between the appetizer, main course, and dessert was perfect. The atmosphere was elegant and clean. We had the option to customize our pizza, so we ordered a Mortadella pizza with mozzarella and another type of cheese, which we rated 4.8 out of 5. Panzanella pizza was 4.9 out of 5.
Our appetizer, focaccia with mozzarella, tomatoes, and onions, scored 4.5 out of 5.
For dessert, we had affogato and tiramisu, both receiving a 4.4 out of 5.

It’s been a while since my last review, but there are some dining experiences too exquisite to remain unshared. Such is the casa at Panzanella.
Recommended by a dear friend from Florø (but a long-time Stavanger resident) as the best pizza in Stavanger, I must say; all you’ve heard is true.
From the quality of the ingredients, the marvellous crunch of the dough, the ability to order 1/2 carafe of Italian (superior) house wine, and the wonderful Tiramisu, all in a quintessential Scandinavian ambiance… extraordinary.
The service marries perfectly Norwegian efficiency with Italian warmth.

Mano lager firkantet pizza, og man kan bestille 25, 50, 75 eller 100 cm, og det går an å kombinere ulike typer på en og samme meter. Eller halvmeter, om man nøyer seg med det. Det gjorde vi, og det viste seg å være akkurat passelig for to personer, i hvert fall siden vi hadde delt en forrett av parmaskinke, ruccula og herlig kremet mozzarella mens vi ventet på kveldens høydepunkt. Dette høydepunktet ble sammensatt av to ulike varianter: En del med klassisk tomatsaus, mozzarella, sterk pepperoni og chili, og en med hvit saus, sjampinjong, steinsopp og trøffelolje.

The biggest challenge when I go to Panzanella is which pizza to order because there are so many good options. This time I decided to have the Carbonara pizza which is inspired by the classic Lazio pasta dish.
