"This is a small takeout restaurant with seating for around 4 people. It is a hole in the wall as some may call it. They have a small, yet diverse menu of sandwiches, bowls, and finger food.
I ordered their Philly cheese sandwich which was ready in 5 minutes upon ordering. It came with beef, mushrooms, vegetables, cheese, and their sauce. The bread was crispy and not mushy. The filling was flavourful and very balanced. I also really liked their takeaway food packaging.
Overall I enjoyed the sandwich, it was tasty, the meat was tender, and none of the ingredients were too dominating. My only feedback is I would have preferred the beef to be warmer. I ate the sandwich right away and it was cooler than I expected. I understand it is precooked, but could be grilled a bit before serving.
The portion size was perfect for a lunch sandwich and the price at 170 kr is very competitive for the quality of food."

"A great find off the beaten tourist path. Bahn Mi (pulled pork), spicy fries and the Noodle Salad with marinated chicken were all delicious! Portion sizes were very generous - I could only eat half of the salad - enjoying the rest as dinner tonight. Tiny place - had four stools for dining in. Great background music, and enjoyed chatting with the staff. Highly recommend!"

Technically, Fortou is more of a street-food takeaway (although they do offer outside seating) — but it’s too good to not be included in this list. Here you can enjoy crunchy tostadas and banh mis, some great vegetarian options (like their falafel bowl with quinoa, yogurt and avocado) as well as fish and chips — that last one was supposed to be a one-off, but the locals loved it so much it’s now a staple on the menu. Oh, and don’t forget to try one of their homemade sorbets and ice creams with a variety of cool toppings.

There, you can pair the food with one of the many craft beers they offer on tap.

Vi stakk innom en fredagskveld og rigget oss til på puben ØST like over gaten med noe godt i glasset. Maten må man inn på Fortou for å bestille selv, men de ansatte leverer den på ØST så snart den er klar. Menyen er forholdsvis kort, og består i skrivende stund av fem sandwich-retter, tre salater, fem snacks-retter og to desserter, samt en spesialrett.

Vår siste favorittrestaurant skiller seg på et viktig punkt fra resten av restauranten på listen. På Fortou finnes det ingen sitteplass og man får kun maten som take-away. Heldigvis har de et godt forhold til naboene sine og du er velkommen til å spise maten i ølbaren ØST.

ØST er det perfekte stedet for en ølglad gjeng som vil finne på noe nytt i byen. Her kan man bli med på en tilbakelent ølsmaking med 7 sorter øl. Baren har alltid et stort utvalg av flaskeøl samt 12 ulike øl på tapp, som gjerne varierer fra dag til dag.
