"Being a public holiday as it was Wellington Anniversary most of the restaurants were closed. I looked up online and booked it for my daughter’s birthday dinner. Glad that we decided to dine at St John’s. What a beautiful place .. good decor and excellent service it exceeded our expectations. Special shout out to Kelton ( hope I’ve got the name right ) who was looking after us. He went out of his way to make my daughter’s bday special with a free dessert and drink. 🍷
The cocktails were exceptionally good and the food was delicious. Good portions and right temperature. Staff is attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to go back again."

"Lovely last minute dinner on a rainy night. Wonderfully looked after by the team (Riley?) Was particularly good, and made us feel welcomed.
All three courses and the cocktail were yum"

"If you’re going to charge $25 for tartar at least serve it with a whole slice of bread! Don’t get me wrong; it tasted lovely but with not even half a slices worth of bread, the pieces were microscopic. i had to basically eat the whole thing by its self. The menu also said it came with thyme crisps? Didn’t seem like thyme crisps to me, was pretty disappointed! Calamari was nice and fresh though."
