Reviews Summary

Logan Brown is highly praised for its elegant ambiance and exceptional service, making it a top choice for special occasions and fine dining in Wellington. While many rave about dishes like the iconic paua ravioli and the attentive staff, some early bird set menu diners found the portion sizes and desserts to be less substantial than anticipated.

"I had a lovely lunch here with my partner to celebrate my birthday. Excellent service from the floor manager and Beth who was mostly in charge of our table. Both were great at explaining items on the menu and drinks. They were attentive while also giving us space.

We got the set menu and ordered the:
paua ravioli; snapper crudo; roasted haapuku; lamb loin; a side of brussel sprouts; pomegranate and dark chocolate mousse; and cheese board

Everything was beautifully presented, fresh and delicious. If I had to pick only one dish to eat for the entire meal, I'd go for the paua ravioli. There's a reason why it's been on the menu since the mid nineties! So good!

The mousse went really well with one of the red wines that we ordered. I don't usually get cheese for dessert, but was curious about the whipped blue cheese and mini fondue. They were delicious but I got a bit cheesed-out 😅 If you're big on cheese however, I'd recommend this.

I frequented this restaurant more often in the past when I lived in Wellington, and while I wouldn't call Logan Brown's cuisine adventurous, one thing I like about Logan Brown is that its food and service is reliably good.

Thanks for making my birthday a memorable one, LB team!"

Samantha

"Logan Brown was a perfect end to our New Zealand trip. The service was incredibly attentive – always with a smile – and our waitress was exceptional, keeping our glasses full and the energy high. The setting in the old bank was fascinating, especially the bar top aquarium with tiny crayfish. The food was a true taste of the land and ocean, and dessert left us all completely satisfied. The bread and butter on arrival struck the perfect balance of umami, sweet, earthy and salty. A huge thank you to the front and back of house – we won’t forget it."

Marc Pelusi

"Wow, what a treat. Some of the best food I’ve had in Wellington and amazing service/setting to match! Would definitely recommend for a special occasion or for a treat yourself moment ☺️"
