"We rolled in for an early dinner (6pm), just after New Year’s. Everyone was chilled and the weather was great.

We snuck in before the end of Happy Hour (no idea if the prices are that much better) and enjoyed a few of their craft beers on tap.

The Smoked Beef and the Fish Tacos were our picks of the dishes and would definitely eat those again; the Guinness Pie was good but not a standout.

Kids Meatballs & Spaghetti was well received, along with the bread roll, small “fruit” popper and ice cream.

If we were in Taupo again, we’d definitely head back there."

"Real awesome little bar. We ordered a spicy chorizo pizza, which was delicious! And some side fries with gravy, also great. Really solid food. I had a pint and a half of Guinness which was solid, my wife had a few cocktails, which while seemed to be the only thing that knocked off a star. The margarita was nice, but inconsistent, the first was good, but the second took a fraction of the time and wasn't as good as the first. She also ordered a mohito which was just made with premix and soda. Fine at home and all, but when you pay $15 for a cocktail in a bar with an entire range of liquors at your disposal, you don't want a premix. Anyway the service was really friendly, food and drinks came out fast and the atmosphere was great. Will go back 👌🏻"

"I have dined at Finns around 10 times and every time they've hit the spot. The bacon and mushroom fettuccine, delicious 😋 The fish and chips, heavenly. The nachos, scrumptious and most importantly the garlic bread, so good. My family have tried the steak meal, chicken burger and pizzas and have left satisfied every time. 10/10 for food and the staff are very friendly and makes sure the customers are taken care of. Would definitely recommend Finns."
