Reviews Summary

KAZUYA restaurant is celebrated for its innovative Japanese-European fusion cuisine, impeccable service, and artistic presentation. Many diners highlight the unique tasting menus and the chef's dedication to quality ingredients. However, some find the ambiance to be lacking for the price point, and a few reviews mention minor service inconsistencies or dishes not meeting expectations.

"Wish I could give this incredible restaurant more than 5 stars! Cannot remember the last time I had a meal this delicious and unique! A must visit when in Auckland!"

Katie Walsh

"Superb 7 course meal at Kazuya. The service was impeccably polite in the Japanese style. Each dish was complex yet restrained, highlighting the quality of individual ingredients and preparation. A harmony of Japanese with Italian influences. The Paua stood out the best Ive had - the Chef explained it was steamed in Sake over 5 hours. The knives provided had clearly been stone sharpened and could cut paper. Great for the discerning gourmand who doesn’t need pyrotechnics to be impressed."

Kyle Snow Schwartz

"Perfect meal at Kazuya this evening - interesting, well presented courses, excellent service and it was lovely to meet Kazuya himself. Highlights were the sashimi, the terakihi and the beef. Plus the croissant ice cream with hazelnuts of course. Thank you 🤍"
