Homeland is celebrated for its stunning waterfront views and the innovative, story-driven cuisine by Peter Gordon. Guests rave about unique dishes like the Turkish eggs and cheese scones, as well as the friendly service and calming atmosphere. While some find the portions slightly small for the price, the quality of ingredients and overall experience make it a highly recommended dining destination.
"Food was amazing, the views out over the water and harbour bridge were top notch and the service was great. Will absolutely be coming back. We had sticky lamb ribs and pigs head croquettes to start, steak for mains and a beautiful soft and creamy cheesecake for dessert. The peach cocktails were a hit too!"

"I’m happy that I come for breakfast before heading home. Recommend to come with few friends as they have interesting menu so you can share to try more from the menu.
I’m happy with my Turkish egg. I love eggs and yogurt but never think that Turkish eggs, whipped garlic yogurt, chilli butter is a good combination but it works. It serve with a slice of sourdough. Recommend to share by two, I finish it by myself tho.
My boyfriend ordered Smoked Salmon, soft boiled egg with yuzu hummus. The salmon taste so good and the whole plate is nicely presented.
Last but not least the cheese scones is their signature too. Very crispy outside and butterfly soft inside. Delicious, I asked for strawberry jam too.
There are smoothies and fancy drinks menu that I can’t try it all. But I’ll definitely come again next time to try more from the breakfast menu, brunch and dinner."

"A spacious restaurant located next to the waterfront with a stunning view. It has a spacious and bright indoor seating space as well as a lovely courtyard. Friendly staff and quick service. Food was excellent, amazing flavours. My favourites were the lamb ribs, paua ciabatta, and the blue cheese beetroot."

The Best New Restaurants In Auckland For 2023
Legendary New Zealand chef Peter Gordon is hoping to tell the stories of local suppliers with Homeland, his latest offering to Auckland’s food and drink lovers. The prolific chef describes Homeland as a “food embassy” in that sense, making the venue as much a cooking school where local suppliers can teach people how best to use their produce, and a dining room where dishes include Cloudy Bay clams with green coconut curry and Gordon’s signature Turkish eggs with whipped garlic yoghurt, Aleppo chilli butter, and toast. Head Chef Naga Sunkara and a diverse team of chefs regularly switch up the menu here, obviously as a function of the various suppliers and local producers who are committed to telling the ongoing story of New Zealand’s wild landscape and the produce that results.
