The Thakali are an ethnolinguistic group originated from the Thak Khola region of the Mustang District in the Dhaulagiri zone of Nepal so this is about as traditional as it gets away from the smaller family run restaurants of Pokhara. The dal baht here is spicier than most but everything tastes amazing and they are wonderful about offering refills. We ate at Pokhara Thakali Kitchen a few times and there were always locals eating there too. This was my husbands favorite dal baht in Pokhara.

Looking for a good place to have some dhedo, we went to chipledhunga, and we found this Thakali Kitchen. The place was very clean and welcoming. The soothing background music was adding a good flavor to the ambience of the place.
