I have been eating lunches, dinners and having ‘real’ coffees at Byanjan, ‘the modern tradition,’ since day one of my stay in Pokhara. It’s unlike anywhere else in Lakeside and not only does it serve awesome international food but the management team also make it their mission to go the extra mile to work with the local community, ‘no lake, no more lakeside’ being Byanjan’s environmental motto. I was particularly drawn to this two-floor restaurant in the first instance because of its Nepali but nautical theme, anyone who knows me will know I am a sucker for a nautical interior, anything navy, white and drift wood and I’m there!
