Reviews Summary

L'mida Marrakech is celebrated for its stunning rooftop views, creative Moroccan cuisine, and charming ambiance. Diners consistently praise the attentive service and the unique, flavorful dishes. However, some guests have noted issues like overly sweet slaw or occasional smoke build-up on the rooftop, though these did not detract significantly from the overall positive dining experience.

"We went here for lunch with our 13 year old daughter. Very tranquil setting nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the souks. I would recommend booking very early in your stay as I couldn't get a dinner reservation 4 days out. We were not on the roof terrace unfortunately (which is beautiful with stunning views) but indoor seating was nice. The pulled lamp shoulder with vegetables was very tasty and super soft. Can also thoroughly recommend the meatballs and raviolis as a starter. The chicken skewers were a bit dry to be honest but the coleslaw and potatoes on the side were great. Definitely recommend and would go again when back in Marrarkech (ideally for dinner and on the terrace) so will need to be better organised next time."

Terence Cassano

"We had such a lovely dinner on the rooftop. The mocktails and food were delicious.

The rooftop has great views of the Medina. The sun set behind the building, so as the sun was going down, it started to cool down. If you want to see the sunset, this isn't the right spot.

Would recommend and definitely book in advance!"

Ashley Maslin

"Our experience here was excellent from start to finish. When we walked in, we were sat indoors as the rooftop terrace was fully booked. However, our server came after 5 minutes and told us he found a table for us upstairs. The views were absolutely incredible and I suggest you go around sunset time. Food, service, and atmosphere are a 10/10!"

The best Marrakech restaurants | Telegraph Travel

The brainchild of Omar Lyazidi and Mohammed Sebbagh in collaboration with Moroccan cookbook author Nargisse Benkabbou, L’Mida sits beside the Rahba Kedima spice market. The towering terrace is a green retreat above the melee below and Nargisse’s creative Moroccan menu packs an impressive flavour punch. It includes a signature burger, which takes the traditional ideas behind Makfoul (a beef, tomato and caramelized onion tagine) and recreates it as a sweet and spicy burger complete with harissa mayonnaise.

Where to Eat, Drink, and Stay in Marrakech Right Now

All over the city, in fact, non-alcoholic cocktails were a high point, and few places did them better than L’mida, the casually chic rooftop restaurant that’s well worth the effort to find. Its Marrakech Pacho mocktail was like a virgin Bloody Mary but better, the tomato and cucumber amped up with olive oil, garlic, and harissa. The eponymous L’mida mocktail was a frothy wonder with cilantro, cucumber, and lime, the light foam of bubbles on top catching the mid-afternoon sunlight shining overhead.

Like a Local: 10 of the Best Moroccan Restaurants in Marrakech

L’mida is a reprieve from the traditional, luxury Moroccan restaurant typical to Marrakesh without deviating from the deliciousness of local food or dedication to decor. Just around the corner from the spices section of the medina, this is the perfect stop for a classic mint tea and a view of Atlas Mountain in the distance. Close friends Omar and Simo created the trendy restaurant whose name is from the Moroccan dialect Darija, and chef Narjisse Benkabbou makes homemade meals with a modern twist.
