"A Hidden Italian Gem in the Heart of Marrakech – La Trattoria
La Trattoria isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience.
We first came here for lunch, drawn in by the beautiful photos and the promise of Italian warmth in Moroccan surroundings. What we didn’t expect was to fall completely in love with the place. So much so that we came back again for dinner — and what a perfect way it was to end my last night in Marrakech.
The ambiance is pure magic: warm lantern lights floating under a grand canopy, lush banana plants surrounding a turquoise pool, and a refined mix of Moroccan charm and Italian elegance. It felt like dining inside a dream — romantic, timeless, and beautifully intimate.
The food? Absolutely delicious. Authentic Italian flavors with a subtle local twist. Every bite transported me home while still reminding me I was far away — the kind of emotional contradiction that only the best travel memories can offer.
But what truly sets La Trattoria apart is the service. The staff were beyond kind — not just professional, but genuinely warm and attentive. They made us feel like old friends rather than just guests.
This was my farewell dinner before returning to Italy, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. Thank you, La Trattoria, for turning a simple meal into a memory I’ll carry with me for a long, long time."

The food was not only delicious but also presented so aesthetically, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and experience. Service was smooth and friendly, and the whole vibe made our celebration extra special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Morocco!"

Things to do in Marrakech
La Trattoria, Bagatelle and the Grand Café de la Poste, which has been serving up reassuringly old-fashioned favourites such as plump Dakhla oysters and steak tartare since the 1920s, are no brainers, but the new breed of restaurants cast their culinary nets wider. Le Petit Cornichon, all dressed up in Majorelle blues and yellows, thrills with treats including duck foie with cardamom-spiked pear confit, while pretty little Plus61 brings a splash of Sydney cool with a daily-changing menu of dishes such as cuttlefish, preserved lemon and celery. You could eat in just one of these places every day of your stay and never get bored.
