Veranda is the first Mediterranean restaurant that opened in Mongolia – in 2006 – and was voted second best restaurant for good reason. Their highly trained chefs consistently deliver high quality dishes that do not disappoint, and you can pair them with any wine from their extensive wine menu. If you go for dinner make sure you make a reservation a few days in advance.

From the ground floor of the Shangri-La Mall to the Veranda restaurant offering a stunning view of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia’s food scene is as diverse as it is delicious. For those who prefer to stay close to home, there are restaurants right next door that offer a fusion of flavors that are sure to tantalize your taste buds with their delicious dishes and delicious food.

Otherwise, there are Korean restaurants such as Te Ju Yon (Baruun Selbe 15/34-35, Chingeltei district); Delhi Darbar for excellent North Indian food (Prime Minister Tserendorj's Street 47/1, +976 1131 3043); Veranda, an Italian eatery with couches instead of chairs (Jamyn Gunii Gudamj 5/1, +976 1133 0818); and there is a pizza place called American Ger'll (get it?).

The Veranda restaurant is located right from the Choijin Lama Temple you can seat on a comfortable sofa or, in the summertime. Veranda offers a good variety of European style cuisine. In summer, they have balcony seating overlooking a Buddhist temple and service is of a high standard.

The veranda is a Mediterranean restaurant which is founded in 2006. If you love seafood and wine this is the go-to place. With its variety of foods and wine, Veranda will give a luxurious and delicious feeling.

Location: a small side street east of the National Library and Monnis Tower runs past Dashinchoilen Monastery. Veranda is on the west side of the tiny street and second floor of the building.

Veranda — great pasta selection, has a bar downstairs with some warm curd drinks and Mongolian style cocktails. One of my favorite place for their delicious food selection.
