"Super cute and very tasty Italian spot with street parking in Centro. Their fried pizza appetizer is just fried bread with prosciutto but I have zero complaints that it had no sauce(if you ask, they will bring you some) but wow, was that the highlight of our meal. My wife had the lasagna and I had walnut and gorgonzola fresh ravioli. Very good and the service was equally as good. They gave us little pizzette pieces drizzled with chocolate at the end of our meal. It would be a very romantic place to visit in the evening."

"It was a busy Friday evening when I went with a big group of friends. One of them frequents the restro and highly recommended it. She said the service and food quality was lacking compared to a slower night, but I liked my dish (I ordered the ribeye salad). It did take a very long time for our orders, so I ate a lot of bread 😜
The beef was a little bit chewy (a common thing in playa) but cooked to perfect rare as I ordered. I took pix of some friends’ orders too. They looked good. A common complaint was too salty (not my dish).
Live music was good too - skilled musician and not too loud as in many places in playa.
There was a couple of bday celebrations and the staff went all out on the cheering as you can see in the video. The owner said hi to most tables - neighbourhood vibe. I enjoyed it. Good lively place for a night out but not too crazy."

"Had the lasagne bolognese, was amazing, Gf had Gnocchi bolognese, amazing. Recommend getting the fresh past, beautiful flavour, cooked to perfection and taste was unreal. Top rated pasta ever had. Starter had Suppli, nice cheese rice ball, beautiful taste.
On paying the bill, was bought over 2 small deserts as a thank you, was very kind of the staff.

There is no shortage of great Italian restaurants in Playa del Carmen, due to the large Italian population throughout the Riviera Maya. But I think Osteria de Roma is the best. It isn’t in a fancy resort and is far enough off the main tourist drag of 5th Ave that you have to seek this place out to find it.
