Reviews Summary
Restaurante Rosetta is celebrated for its stunning ambiance within a historic mansion and its innovative fusion of Mexican and Italian cuisine. Diners rave about the creative dishes and attentive service, though some note that portions can be small and prices are on the higher side for the city.
"Went here for lunch. The space is small and felt a bit crowded, but the neighborhood is beautiful. We started at the upstairs bar and enjoyed the open windows and view. The cocktails were creative and different.
The food was hearty and flavorful. My favorite was the cabbage tacos, should’ve ordered more! I really liked the beet appetizer as well. I had the mushroom ravioli, which was very earthy, rich, and delicious. We ordered the bread with ant butter. It was salty and really tasty. My husband had the steak with black beans and mole, which he enjoyed.
Plating was beautiful. Would recommend if you’re looking for something different in a nice setting."

"Currently ranked #46 in the world from World’s 50 Best! Made reservations ahead of time and enjoyed the ambiance that was earthy and warm with a comforting vibe. Highlights from the meal were the scallops and desserts for us. The White Mole was really good too and pretty unique since I’ve only had dark, brown kinds so this was a refreshing take. Try the Tamarind Jelly dessert and the Chocolate Cake in Banana Leaves — so unique and just the right amount of sweetness. Service was very attentive without being overwhelming too. Really enjoyed this restaurant and would recommend if looking for Italian inspired cooking with Mexican touches."

"Beautiful location with lots of greenery and atmosphere. The staff was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. Plus, there's a fun beer selection! Food ran the gamut from good to amazing depending on who you asked at our table. Excellent bread, the scallops were great, and the flat iron steak was amazing. The beet tartar was super interesting. The gnocchi were wonderful, if you're into gnocchi. The desserts were interesting, but somewhat underwhelming; which wasn't unexpected, to be honest.
Overall, it's a fun experience that comes with a fairly hefty price tag. If you're looking for more bang for your buck, though, there are other 1-star restaurants in town that you might like better."

Rosetta is a beautiful restaurant inside a townhouse, with a menu that’s predominantly Italian with a Mexican twist. Expect things like pillowy ricotta-stuffed ravioli swimming in a creamy lemon sauce, and tagliatelle punched up with some chile de árbol. Our favorite time to be here is lunch when the room fills with light, but if you’re traveling with a significant other and looking for a romantic night out, dinner at Rosetta should be at the top of your list.

Restaurante Rosetta - Also by Elena Reygadas, this Mexican and Italian inspired restaurant is beautiful, and it’s worth it for the ambiance alone. I’d plan to go here for dinner after you’ve already have a few more traditional Mexican meals under your belt and when you’re ready to switch it up since it’s heavily Italian leaning. Or, if you want more traditional Mexican cuisine for your dinner outings you could go here for lunch instead.

For context, I dashed to Rosetta as a detour just in time to catch my plane with pastries and bread in hand for my flight home last time, so I'd be interested in anything as good as Rosetta or better. We will use one early morning to go to Fonda Margarita, and we'll also go to Mari Gold one day, though that might be for lunch.
