Go for: Mexican food with a European twist and plenty of vegetarian options. Rosetta celebrates Mexican produce and flavours with Italian and Mediterranean influences. The restaurant is helmed by Elena Reygadas, who was crowned Latin America’s Best Female Chef in 2014.

Rosetta is a beautiful restaurant inside a townhouse, with a menu that’s predominantly Italian with a Mexican twist. Expect things like pillowy ricotta-stuffed ravioli swimming in a creamy lemon sauce, and tagliatelle punched up with some chile de árbol. Our favorite time to be here is lunch when the room fills with light, but if you’re traveling with a significant other and looking for a romantic night out, dinner at Rosetta should be at the top of your list.

Restaurante Rosetta - Also by Elena Reygadas, this Mexican and Italian inspired restaurant is beautiful, and it’s worth it for the ambiance alone. I’d plan to go here for dinner after you’ve already have a few more traditional Mexican meals under your belt and when you’re ready to switch it up since it’s heavily Italian leaning. Or, if you want more traditional Mexican cuisine for your dinner outings you could go here for lunch instead.

Ranked as one of the top 50 restaurants in the world, Restaurante Rosetta is one of the trendiest restaurants in Roma Norte. The restaurant’s menu features Italian and Mexican-inspired elevated fare made from seasonal locally-sourced ingredients, such as pink mole made from beets and shiso. The restaurant space is located in a gorgeous historic mansion adorned with high ceilings and lush greenery.

Sitting amongst the tree-lined avenues of Roma lies Restaurante Rosetta. As you walk through two heavy mahogany doors, a courtyard opens up into a sprinkle of tables topped with vintage china. Restaurante Rosetta is likely the most expensive restaurant on this list, but it’s also the brainchild of chef Elena Reygadas, who has been voted the top female chef in the world.

Hanging plants dangle from the ceiling and a real tree grows inside the courtyard of this old mansion-turned-restaurant. Rosetta has one of the most beautiful dining rooms in the world, but that’s not the only reason to visit. From the hot pink beet mole to the hoja santa mole, we loved the creative blend of ingredients used by chef Elena Reygadas.

Rosetta Restaurant is located in the Roma district, and is one of the Mexico City’s popular restaurants. The people who work here are passionate about food and the food served is rich in flavour and freshness. The owner Elena Reygadas, is a New York and London trained chef herself and has incorporated Mexican influences to the world cuisine.

For context, I dashed to Rosetta as a detour just in time to catch my plane with pastries and bread in hand for my flight home last time, so I'd be interested in anything as good as Rosetta or better. We will use one early morning to go to Fonda Margarita, and we'll also go to Mari Gold one day, though that might be for lunch.

When you feel like you’re craving something other than tacos, it’s time to pay a visit to Restaurante Rosetta. This Italian restaurant is in my favorite neighborhood in Mexico City, Roma Norte, and is set in a mansion with charming décor. Rosetta is also one of the top restaurants on Latin America’s best list.

Food – Italian-Mexican, really creative but not too crazy, the bone marrow is amazing, young, super talented female chef that sources much of what she offers locally. Ambiance – gorgeous, in one of those old turn-of-the-century mansions, some people go just for the interior design

Moving next door, Restaurante Rosetta offers a very different but equally lovely dining experience. The century-old villa is full of breathtaking architecture, cascading plants, and antique woods. Enjoy a mix of Italian and Mexican flavors with local, seasonal ingredients.

I didn’t make my reservation on time and I couldn’t try this restaurant, but everybody is raving about it, and here is one example of a review. “Absolutely amazing dining experience. Definitely make sure you to get a reservation ahead of time.
