Reviews Summary
El Pescadito is celebrated for its incredibly fresh, generously portioned seafood tacos, particularly the shrimp and fish varieties. Diners rave about the fun self-serve topping bar, where they can customize their tacos with a wide array of salsas and accompaniments. While many consider it a must-visit, a few reviewers felt the tacos were just 'okay' and still searching for the ultimate seafood taco experience in the city.
"Amazing service. The employees were so friendly and were so helpful. These tacos were made super fresh, they fry the seafood in front of you, made to order. They take your order as you walk in, they give you a receipt and you pay after you eat at the cashier. There are sooo many different toppings and sauces you can choose from, and you help yourself. Lots of tables available and ample space. I will definately return next time. The price was extremely affordable. Two tacos filled me up cause they are so loaded."

"The best bite of our entire trip were these tacos. The shrimp taco was our standout favorite taco we had. We also loved the chile relleno and fish tacos. Everything is fresh fried, and there is a toppings bar where you can dress your own tacos exactly as you wish. It offers different vegetables and salsas. We came back twice: it was our first meal and we made sure it was our last as well because we couldn’t stop thinking about these tacos. I will be thinking about this place in my dreams."

"We were the first customers in the restaurant as they opened at 11 AM—not sure if that was a blessing or a curse. I really wish they had served us freshly fried fish and shrimp tacos instead of what seemed like reheated meat from the night before. That said, the flavor was still phenomenal, which speaks volumes about their seasoning and preparation. If the seafood had been freshly fried, this would’ve easily been a 5-star experience."

The 19 Best Taco Spots In Mexico City - Mexico City
The best $3 you can spend in Condesa is Pescadito’s quesotote taco: a corn tortilla filled with an entire chile relleno and fried shrimp. This is a casual, cafeteria-style spot with a tight selection of fried shrimp tacos, fried fish tacos, and plenty of beer. And while the menu is short, the variety of unlimited free toppings you can add to your order is anything but, with multiple salsas, coleslaw, and pickled red onion.
Best Tacos in Roma and Condesa
This is another chain around Mexico City, but I do love their location in Condesa second best (my favorite location is in the Centro Historico but only because there’s more space). The regular fish tacos are good, but the marlin and the shrimp (camaron) are seriously why I keep come back. I usually get one marlin taco and one shrimp, but if I’m feeling fancy I’ll order one marlin and one campechano which is a combination of a few pieces of fish and a few pieces of shrimp.

Well, El Pescadito is an oasis away from the heavy beef and pork-centric taco spots in Mexico City. The shrimp are dipped into a semi-liquid batter before dropping into a hot oil right in front of you.
