What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Manifesto Casa Tostadora Calabrese is highly praised for its exceptional coffee, sourced and roasted with passion. Diners love the welcoming atmosphere and the knowledgeable baristas who enhance the experience. While the coffee is consistently rated as some of the best in Merida, a few reviewers noted that music choice or volume could occasionally impact the ambiance.
"It’s funny. I saw some of the negative reviews this morning. But arriving here, I made a decision to come and it was a little bit empty when I got there so I had the opportunity to chat to the two baristas who were here. And it was delightful. Wonderful conversation. Wonderful recommendations because as you can guess they have a lot of options. They also do some blends which are always exciting when you come to a new coffee shop. I came away 100% happy and satisfied and highly recommend. Also, this would be a good place to buy coffee to take back to your home country. They have a selection from all of the coffee producing states and I can tell you that they know how to roast coffee."

"A special place in the heart of Mérida. Very good coffee if you're on a quest and a wide choice for everyone. We also found good bakery stuff. And a nice vibe.
Owned by two brothers, they buy the coffee beans directly from Mexican farmers, even small batches. They roast and prepare it with great results. My wife and I came back the day after. Very recommended."

"Great little cafe, we had avacado toast and flat white - both were delicious though I found the addition of crisps a bit odd. The coffee was really smooth and might be the best we had in Merida. Staff were friendly too, overall really happy we came here."

It is multilevel (although you can’t go to the second story) with the roaster on the second floor that you can see from the lower level.

Manifesto, like Marago, is known for its amazing organic coffee from all over Mexico. It is actually right by my house, and a very popular place to work, but the seating isn’t comfortable enough for me to work longer than 3 hours there. However, if you go there and buy something, you can work all day with no issues.
