"Just a tiny understandable detail, improve the filter on the entrance of the hotel as you need to remove us from some areas, arrange for another person to address us, tourists, the guy who removed us from an area was a tiny bit unnecessarily dry. Thank G, for the ladies and the young guy service we were able to enjoy that afternoon a delicious drink, pink tonic. And a delicious dinner later when we went back to visit the 3 lady servers. So knowledgeable, kind and professional, bravo to the rest of the staff, great communicators, elegant place, awesome coliflor soup and surprising trout appetizer. The mango, yerbabuena, smoothie was delicious as well. Kudos and Cheers!"

"Honestly, I was very disappointed and deceived by the reviews and photos online. My experience was not a great one. I made a reservation here for dinner for my anniversary. When making the reservation, the application asks you to select if there is a special occasion. I selected the option that I was celebrating my anniversary. They confirmed my reservation, but never inquired further about the special occasion I was celebrating. No one offered me any kind of table decorations or an option for a bottle of wine — nothing. I find it a bit odd that a nice restaurant like this that clearly hosts anniversaries since it’s an option on their website is so lackadaisical and doesn’t seem to really care about the customer’s experience, which I also find odd in a city that depends on tourism. We arrived to the restaurant and it was almost totally empty. The waiter didn’t seem like he was even aware of our reservation and just told us to sit wherever we’d like. At first, the attention from the waiter was good. He was very attentive initially, and everything just went downhill from there. We tried to order one of the appetizers we saw on the menu a few days prior that prompted us to make the reservation in the first place, only to be told they weren’t able to prepare this for us. Ok, fine. We selected another option and proceeded. Then, it was time to order the main course. I tried ordering the dish I settled on after reading through all of the options for 10 minutes, only to be told that wasn’t available either. The waiter recommended a different but similar dish, consisting of Trout as the featured protein. I couldn’t even eat a single bite of this trout as there were a ton of bones in every single bite. It was truly a terrible experience and I don’t know why you would serve that to a customer in a “nice” establishment such as Mercé. The drinks and appetizers were pretty much the only part of the meal that went well. After the appetizers came, they brought our entrees out two minutes later causing our entrees to be cold by the time we were done eating the appetizers. The timing of bringing out the main course after the appetizers seems like a very basic thing a restaurant that touts itself as a finer dining establishment should know how to do. On top of it all, the waiter seemingly vanished after delivering our food. No one ever came to ask if we were enjoying our experience. In fact, one came at all and we had to flag someone down ourselves otherwise we would’ve just been sitting there all night with dirty plates sitting in front of us. I tried to order dessert and guess what? The waiter told me the dessert I wanted was not available, either. So none of the things I wanted to order were available, and this was an expensive meal. On top of it all, I complained about the bones in the fish and told the waiter I did not like it and they didn’t offer any type of compensation other than a shrug of the shoulders. It was a terrible experience and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking to celebrate a special occasion as you’ll be severely disappointed. This was a special trip for my wedding anniversary and the entire trip was centered around our dinner plans on our anniversary and this was a giant disappointment. I don’t mean to sound rude, but I could have went to McDonald’s and had a better experience for a fraction of the money I spent at Merce, and McDonald’s would have had all of the items I wanted to order. This did not feel at all like a premium dining experience."
