Malta🇲🇹1 I went to Fontanella, a shop that is said to have delicious chocolate cake!. I went there around noon, but because it was a Sunday, there was a line!. However, the turnover rate is relatively fast, so I was able to get a seat without having to wait too long!

They do a lot more than just tea and is probably the most highly visited restaurant in all of Mdina. We actually tried to get in for a tea and cake but were unable due to the queues out the door!. Good luck getting in but if you do, expect very good service.
