What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Al Ajami is praised for its authentic, traditional Lebanese home-style cooking and the warm, personal service provided by the elderly owner. Many appreciate the classic ambiance and the extra treats offered. However, some reviews mention that prices can be quite high, and a few diners have experienced slow service and perceived arrogance from some staff members.
"We had lunch and breakfast at this place and we loved both. The owner is an elderly guy, originally from Isfahan in Iran, but can't speak Farsi. He is really kind, and he is always going around and taking care of the customers needs.
He also gave us extra olives and cherries after our breakfast!
Thank you for making us feel great ❤️
Wish you luck and prosperity"
Fahim
"Arrogant staff, tiny portions, average food, slow service (though we were alone) and prices were extremely exaggerated.
I would not come again for my next visit to Beirut for sure!!"
Wael K
"Really overpriced, food ok, but not really special. Some of the waiters are quite arrogant if you are not part of the usual crowd of upper class people that’s frequenting the place."
