What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Books@cafe is celebrated for its unique bookstore-cafe ambiance and stunning rooftop views, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists. While many praise the welcoming atmosphere, good service, and affordable drinks, some reviews mention bland food and issues with restroom cleanliness. Despite mixed feedback on the food, the overall vibe and scenic location make it a recommended destination in Amman.
"Beautiful place to sit and enjoy the sunshine and cool of the morning. Great breakfast deals include coffee and fresh juice. Also the cheese manaeesh is handmade and to die for!"
Jennifer Killpack
"A very interesting concept for a cafe bar. I really enjoyed the rooftop. The view was incredible but the food was somewhat bland and uninspiring. However, the atmosphere was quite good. I was visiting a friend that I haven't seen in 25 years since college. So that just added to the special atmosphere and we were speaking loudly and it didn't bother anyone. So if you're looking for a place to get together with friends, this is not a bad one at all. And when you get a chance on your way out, check out all those interesting art books."
David Lan
"Driest kebab I’ve ever had… they better remove it from the menu. The waiter was also weird, asking me “why are you angry” while I was just looking at my wallet (?) …Atmosphere was meh. High bpm pop / electronic is obviously not the best choice for a book cafe"

It was already afternoon and we wanted a good cup of coffee to keep us going, and since we were close by, I thought to take them to Books@Cafe, which is my favourite cafe in town. This is where I used to hang out with my friends since school days. Every so often we would go there and spend the whole afternoon out on the terrace, overlooking the beautiful Mountain studded with very old houses; a beautiful scene of old Amman.
