"An excellent and fun sushi spot that both locals and tourists enjoy.

There can be a wait but it's well worth it. An extensive menu of a wide variety of fish, sushi, etc of all different price points and all different styles - raw, seasoned, cooked, etc.

I chose some familiar favorites as well as some items I don't typically order. The staff and sushi chefs were so friendly and fun to order with, they enjoy serving you and watching you enjoy their food! Service is quick, but they don't rush you or force you to leave.

It's standing only so that's a fun experience! Pretty cheap for the amount and quality of sushi. you get even in a tourist hot spot like Shibuya!"

"Standing sushi bar in Shibuya. Visited twice during a trip.
The restaurant is a great spot to eat sushi if you’re in a rush but don’t want to go to conveyor belt sushi. You have to stand, so not appropriate if you wanted a proper sit down meal.
Lots of local salarymen were eating when I visited, and I followed their lead in eating with my hands. You can order single pieces or a set, and I recommend getting a set first and then adding on pieces you like if you don’t have sushi preferences yet.
The fish is fresh and cut thick, and I especially liked the tuna 3-piece set (maybe only available at lunch time?). The flamed eel is amazing as well, and the fresh shrimp.
Definitely worth a visit when you’re in Shibuya and craving high quality sushi!"

"We found it hard to select restaurants in Japan but found this ABSOLUTE GEM for Sushi. While there were a couple of tables, almost all the seating was at the bar area. You do NOT want to pass up on this experience to enjoy watching the chefs prepare and personally deliver each individual piece of your order. What's more, even having enjoyed the depth and breadth of NYC sushi restaurants, for us, there were amazing, unique to Japan options at Uogashi. These unique options are "must sample". One orders thru small mounted tablets dedicated to each diner. The tablet application is highly organized, efficient, and intuitive to use. One downside , relative to many other Japan dining experiences, for this experience prepare to spend extra $. But if you love sushi and love trying some new things, dive in here. Highly recommended."
