BEST CONVEYOR BELT SUSHI IN TOKYO?! Man you know it’s good when the quality is as good as restaurants / sushi bars around town for great prices too. This is📍 Himawari Sushi Shintoshin in Shinjuku, serving up a roulette of some of the finest sushi in town. The Hokkaido scallop here is a must try in my opinion 🔥 #japan #tokyo #tokyofoodie #tokyoeats #tokyofood #tokyosushi #shinjuku

Reviews Summary

Himawari Sushi Shintoshin is widely praised for its exceptional value, offering fresh and delicious sushi at remarkably low prices. Diners appreciate the friendly service and the fun conveyor belt experience, making it a popular choice for both locals and tourists. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few patrons have noted minor issues with order accuracy and the cash-only policy.

"Only in japan-we had about 40 pieces between us and 4 drinks and it came out at about £35, and by no means was the quality of the sushi sacrificed, it was up there as some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The sushi chefs were lovely and always met your requests with speedy service and a smile. It was a very enjoyable experience for an extremely good value. I absolutely would and will come again if I have a chance."

Indiya Griffiths

"I walked in around 1:30ish and was able to get seated right away. It felt a bit warm inside so not uncomfortable but I was worried about if it would affect sushi’s quality. But everything I ordered was fresh.
Chef was very friendly as I ordered directly from him. You could also order through the waitress. They also have menu in English."

satsuki hoshino

"Solid option for sushi in the area (definitely catered towards tourists as expected). Very reasonably priced conveyer belt sushi. There are signs for each dish section in both Japanese and English that describes what items are on the belt that day. Prices depend on the color of the dish you select. Seating is facing sushi chefs who prepare food in front of you — seats are limited, and it may be hard for large groups to sit next to each other or even for everyone in the party to be seated at all. Cash only."

Shinjuku’s top rock bars

If you haven’t tried karaoke in Japan, this should be your first port of call. Not only do you get to choose tracks like Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believin’, but the owners, Takuya and Mimi Tachibana, play live guitar and saxophone with you while you sing. With four big TV screens dotted around the room, guitars stacked randomly, black-curtained walls and artworks by customers hung up in any available space, Himawari feels more like a recording studio than a bar.
