This was truly one of the best ramen I had ever! Prawn base soup is what makes it just extra special! The egg is cooked to perfection and the aldente noodles are just so good! They open till 3am and we went around 1am 😂. #placesinsydney #ichigen #ichigenramen #ebisobaichigen #ramen #japan #japanesefood #traveljapan #michelinstar #michelin #sapporo #hokkaido #snow #cold #coldweatherfood #coldweathe...

🎏 A couple of places to try in Sapporo pt1. 1️⃣ Ebisoba Ichigen Main Shop | If you like shrimp flavour anything, this is the ramen for you. Different flavour profile compared to other ramen spots but still a solid shout to check out. Note that it usually has a line so either get there early or time it after the first wave of seating. 📍 9 Chome-1024-10 Minami 7 Jonishi, Chuo Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaid...

Reviews Summary

Diners rave about Ebisoba Ichigen's unique and intensely flavorful shrimp broth ramen, with many calling it a must-try experience. The customizable options and delicious side dishes are also highly praised, though be prepared for potentially long wait times.

"Never in my life have I had shrimp soup–based soba—and it did not disappoint.
Every slurp is packed with bold, shrimp-forward flavor. The broth is rich, layered, and addictive.

The soba itself was a surprise standout. I usually don’t enjoy soba because it can be grainy, but this place nails the texture—tender, chewy, and satisfying. We tried both the thick and thin noodles, but the difference was minimal.

Highly recommend the Original Shrimp Miso and Original Shrimp Shio.
If you’re into deep, umami-rich broths and quality noodles, this spot’s a must."

Kevin Pupat

"Amazing and unique flavour compared to the usual bowl of ramen, although there is quite a wait to get in since this is the main shop.

I went with the ebimiso seasoning with the rich flavour soup as my personal preference, but might be a bit too salty for some people.

Also loved the side dishes offered, crispy and juicy gyoza along with an unsuspecting Onigiri with strong shrimp flavoured umami. If you'd like you can save some soup at the end to dip the Onigiri into."

Stanley Li

"A nice ramen restaurant with a unique shrimp (ebi) ramen. There are three kinds of shrimp ramen: salt, miso, and soy sauce. When I visited, most of the customers chose the miso taste. Also, they have three kinds of noodle soup and two kinds of noodles, so that you can customize your ramen.
When I arrived at the restaurant, there was a long line of people waiting, and it took around 15-20 minutes to get to the table and get your noodles.
The miso ramen with the original soup (shrimp-only flavour) is unique, tasty, and rich in flavour.
The staff can speak English and try their best to help you with your order. The menu is also English-friendly."
