What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners rave about the authentic and delicious Hoto noodles, praising the hearty portions and traditional atmosphere. While the food is widely loved, some reviewers have noted issues with organization and occasional rude service, though many find the staff courteous and English-speaking.
"Amazing food. I've been here two times already and that 7 years apart.
Steady good quality. Like a cauldron full of flavour and culture.
Fryed dishes unfortunately sold out.
But the only small issue i really have with this restaurant is the organisation.
Write your name on a waiting list and see the chaos unfold.
When you have a seat, employees will rush past you, but nobody acknowledges your presents.
That said when you manage to order, the food comes fast and is worth the wait."

"A great hospitable environment with great food. Prices are a bit expensive but you get quality for what you pay. Hot food amidst the cold environment of Fuji really fits. I strong urge everyone to come visit here during their time in Fuji"

"It’s Nagano or Shinshu local noodles shop famous for their hoton and suiton noodles. Hoton is like thicker and wider noodles. A little bit like Chinese knife shaving noodles 刀削麵but softer version. And suiton is like dumplings. Both made from wheat.
We ordered one spicy galbi suiton and one spicy hoton. We wanted to order fried chicken karaage but they ran out of it so we ordered fried small fishes instead.
Noodles soup were not spicy so we added the spicy looking powder to the noodles and it was a bit spicy but very fragrant. And fried fishes were crunchy and delicious.
There were also fried shrimp bentos or set meals available. English menu too.
Staff were very courteous. I did like the interior design. It’s like a traditional Japanese hall with tatami seats. But around the center you could rest your legs inside the hole.
We ended up buying the hot sauce from the table. It was 650 yen."
