Reviews Summary

Antica Bruschetteria Pautasso offers an authentic taste of Piedmontese tradition, with many praising the rich flavors and friendly service. While some dishes like the Ragu and veal cheek are highly recommended, a few reviewers found the Bagna Cauda's intensity or other dishes to be less impressive. Occasional issues with opening times or drink temperature have been noted.

"It was a pleasant experience of Piedmont dishes - delightful & unexpected. Our waitress for the evening was marvelous. Should have gotten her name but the young bespectacled lady spoke very good English & she explained the dishes very well to us.
We ordered the Ragu which was delicious, the veal cheek with vegetables, braised beef & the tripe (my absolute favorite!). Desserts were good too - Apple cinnamon pie, chocolate slice & panna cotta with caramel. House pour red wine was easy drinking & yummy"

Leslie & Cecilia

"Good restaurant to try local food. The bagna cauda is totally worth trying although quite salty. I do have to mention that we came for our reservation at the opening hour but the opening was delayed by 20 minutes, we waited outside with a lot of other customers."

Richard Akman

"Average. Service is good. La Bagna Cauda it’s overrated. Is a sauce of anchovies and garlic. We order several plates and the good one was veal and came with a hot pan to cook ourselves. The beer was hot (not tepid, hot)."

Where to eat 'Piedmontese mixed bollito' in Turin and surroundings: the top 10 restaurants chosen by Gambero Rosso

Since the end of the 19th century, it has been a solid bastion of Piedmontese gastronomic tradition in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere to be enjoyed every day of the week. In winter, you'll find capunet (cabbage rolls), plìn ravioli with roast sauce, gnocchi alla bava, Nebbiolo-braised beef, and the Grand Piedmontese Mixed Boiled with scaramella, brisket, muscle, head, ugly and good cut, tail, vein, and pork cotechino served with plìn in broth, mayonnaise, red sauce, green sauce, and coarse salt. 9 great restaurants in Turin to try during your trip

Pautasso is another great restaurant in Turin where you can enjoy a taste of local cuisine. If you’re curious to try the region’s famous Bagnacauda (more on it later in the article), then this is the place for you. The fact that it’s located in the heart of the Quadrilatero district, one of Turin’s trendiest areas, makes it all the more interesting.

8 Best Restaurants in Turin for First-Time Visitors

Hands down one of our very favourite restaurants in Turin was Antica Bruschetteria Pautasso. You can order traditional Turin dishes or more contemporary eats while reveling in the cozy, softly lit atmosphere. They are particularly famous for the typical garlic-rich bagna cauda (they make it also without garlic) and for a good reason.
