"Excellent service made a late night reservation as we had just landed in Treviso. People were friendly and helpful. Food was very good I would recommend the Guinea Fowl pasta. Unusual not to have a drinks menu but the prices were reasonable! The bill for 3 of us came to €80
Half litre of Prosecco
1 beer and an aperol spritz
Two pasta dishes, the monk fish pasta and Guinea Fowl. Large plate of meats and cheeses. Great value. Highly recommend this place and thank you for the reservation at last min (10pm)"

Monisha Amos

"Amy, Jorvic n Boothroyd have been here before. Had been in the same family for 150 years but sold to the manager last year. Menu changes daily to serve in season ingredients. Love the atmosphere and good fizzy house wine. Apparently reviewed in The Grauniad. Lovely pasta first plates and my beef stew second plate was yummy. Jorvic and Boothroyd supped a litre of wine while we ate...then had a delicious dolce each....and guess the bill...€1....1....5! Super value."

A local’s guide to Treviso, Italy: 10 top tips | Italy holidays

The 150-year-old Osteria Arman, a noisy bar with locals playing cards at rough wooden tables while talking politics and sport, gets packed out for lunch and dinner. There is no service charge, no tourist menu, just a tempting daily list of ever-changing seasonal dishes: ravioli stuffed with locally grown radicchio and smoked ricotta (€9), plump gnocchi with rich duck ragù (€9), porcini risotto (€10) or sopa coada (pigeon soup with bread, €10), followed by tiramisu – a dessert created 50 years ago by a chef right here in Treviso.

Where to eat in Treviso and what: best restaurants and typical dishes

Located in an establishment dating back to 1872, a few steps from the tomb of Dante Alighieri's son, the Osteria Arman is a typical 19th-century tavern. The menu features dishes cooked with seasonal products, typical of Treviso and Veneto cuisine. The generational family management guarantees good, serious organisation and a quality menu that respects and re-proposes typical local cuisine, albeit with a few modern touches that make the dishes suitable for even the most 'demanding' palates.
