"I began the evening in Piazza del Mercato at the Cava Osteria Bistrot with a hearty red wine from Montefalco, which is the next town over about 5 miles from Spoleto. It has about 524 inhabitants, but they know how to make a good red wine.
I then enjoyed an amazing salad of octopus, potato, tomato, and olives from Liguria, and the waiter and I had a jolly conversation about the best region for olives.
I then opted for one of the evening recommendations, the Strangozzi with Tartufi/truffles and pistachio.
All in all, the food was wonderful and the service was personal and kind. Thank you!"
