I found La Taverna di San Giuseppe in Rick Steve’s Italy Guide. He was right on the money for recommending this taverna. It was a little more “fancy-pants” than the other restaurants I previously mentioned, but OH so good!

But if you want to know Amadeo’s recommendation for another fun, casual, authentic restaurant to go to in Siena, his favorite was Taverna di San Giuseppe. If we ever go back, I’m heading there next time.

San Giuseppe was indeed good although we tend to prefer more homey places. It was so funny that they provide people with miniature chairs for their bags and purses.
