What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pierluigi is celebrated for its high-quality Italian seafood and extensive wine list, making it a sophisticated dining destination. Many praise the impeccable service, trendy atmosphere, and the allure of dining al fresco. However, some reviews mention inconsistent service, with instances of feeling ignored or rushed, and a few find the overall experience to be expensive.
"We stopped by the restaurant for cocktails but couldn’t resist ordering oysters as well — the seafood counter in the lobby looked too tempting to pass up.
The cocktails were excellent, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere in the lobby bar.
Highlights: Wonderfully kind and attentive staff, delicious oysters and starters, and a cocktail list that managed to be both inventive and classic at the same time.
Room for improvement: It would be nice to have an area for guests who come “just for drinks” outside of the lobby, as the fish aroma was quite noticeable there."

"It's super romantic when we came at 7pm, there weren't much people. Service staff seemed to be all professional and nice. We wanted the vongole pasta because it was mostly recommended on google review but sadly it wasn't available. The pasta we had was abit undercooked and hard but mind you we were aldy jetlag and hungry so we quickly finished our plates. Food overall was delicate but not mind-blowing to be honest. I'd come again for just oysters and wine to soak up the atmosphere but perhaps nothing more."

"This has to be one of my favorite, if not favorite places to eat in Roma. The food was absolutely outstanding, especially the fresh seafood, there were numerous varieties to choose from and preparation methods. We spent almost 2.5 hours there and the dishes were spread out in perfect segments, we weren't rushed at all.
The wine list was extensive and one of our servers recommended two bottles of amazing regional wines that we enjoyed. If you get a chance to downstairs to have a look at one of there dining rooms that contain a beautiful collection of amazing wines. I believe this section of the restaurant is open during the fall and winter months.
Overall the lunch was expensive, but we enjoyed several dishes and a few bottles of wine and it was worth every Euro and it tasted amazing along with impeccable service!"

We ordered monkfish with chickpea fritters, uni carbonara, a whole seabass, salad, potatoes, and langoustine (basically prawns).
