"Just a wonderful family Osteria. The care with the ingredients is evident from the carefully composed salad to the tasty lamb chops.
Excellent wine list, good choices also available by the glass. Nice bonus: great craft beers are also available.
When in Rome, this is a great place to taste authentic Roman cuisine.
The restaurant is easily accessible by Metro B"

"It was a Sunday, my last day in Rome, all the restaurants were full at lunch. I was alone. I tried two other restaurants, no go. I walked in and the host said, “we are full”. I put my puppy eyes on said,” all I want is a salad and pasta”. It was 1:00pm, “can you be done by 2:00?”. “100%”. I had the best puntarelle salad of my trip, full of anchovies and not drenched in oil and vinegar like the others I have had. It was a so refreshing. For the pasta, Cacio e Pepe, so many I have had, had sauces that are stiff and only a step above macaroni and cheese. This serving was creamy, cheese and water, it is a miracle. The pecorino shined through with balancing pepper. Fantastico!!! I finished by 1:45pm, thank you for letting me in…"

41 Best Restaurants in Rome, According to a Local Expert

Fratelli Mori is an upgrade on the neighborhood osteria, but still rustic with wooden, family-style tables, an open kitchen and pantry, and Roman poetry calligraphed all over its walls. This is Roman dining at its best: simple, but not rough around the edges, with quality dishes made with love. Whether you're looking to host a family reunion or get a crew of old friends back together, this is the place.

Top 10 Italian Restaurants In Rome

Osteria Fratelli Mori: Family operated (and overseen by brothers Alessandro and Francesco, and their mother Giuliana), Osteria Fratelli Mori is a throwback to less precious times, an era when one person used to cook for the entire family on Sunday. Such tradition is carried on here in a large space that can cater for about 120 people. As the name and ethos imply, there are no frills here – there are rural, family-style tables, an open kitchen, fun people and seriously good food of the pasta and pizza variety.

Top 10 Authentic Italian Restaurants in Rome

This restaurant is named after the Mori family, composed of Giuliana and her sons Alessandro and Francesco, who oversee the day-to-day operations. The spot is every bit as rustic and simple as a traditional osteria, with its family-sized tables and open kitchen, and the menu is composed of no-fuss Roman fare that is executed to perfection. Some of the dishes at Fratelli Mori not to miss are the Neapolitan-style woodfire pizza, Gricia with artichokes, and the classic meatballs.
