"We stumbled upon this gem by pure chance, without a reservation, and what a spectacular find it turned out to be. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality set the tone for an unforgettable evening. The hostess greeted us with genuine charm and promptly secured us a table upstairs; boasting breathtaking views over the whitewashed town and the dazzling Adriatic.
The team here deserves special mention: Alessandro, Angelica, Teresa, and even the owner Roberto made us feel not like guests, but like old friends returning home. The atmosphere is elegant yet effortlessly friendly, striking that rare balance of sophistication and heartfelt warmth.
Now, let’s talk about the food. We began with the grilled octopus, cooked to absolute perfection; tender with just the right touch of char, delivering a pristine taste of the sea. But it was the second course that truly stole the show: a remarkable tuna, crusted with crispy fried bread, served atop a bed of earthy mushrooms and bathed in a luscious creamy sauce. Artful dots of different flavored sauces danced around the plate, each bite an exploration of texture and taste.
We paired this masterpiece with a local white wine; dry and bright, with a subtle nod to vinho verde which complemented the tuna exquisitely.
As we dined, the retractable roof opened, allowing the gentle sea breeze to drift in, adding yet another layer to the sensory experience. Not too humid, not too cool;just perfect!
