Reviews Summary

Ristorante Cocchi is celebrated for its authentic traditional Parma cuisine and impeccable service, offering a genuine taste of the region's culinary heritage. While many praise the exquisite cold cuts, handmade pasta, and knowledgeable staff, some diners have found certain dishes, like the lasagne verde, to be disappointing or not as fresh as expected.

"Visited Cocchi as it was recommended by a friend who was recently in Parma for a vacation. The dishes were objectively good, but the service was impeccable. That made a huge difference to the overall dining experience - after all, it is hard to find bad food in Italy.

Good to make a reservation in advance as it's popular among the locals.

Glad to have tried this institution in Parma even though it is slightly out of the way (about a 7-min drive from the old town)."

"A nice restaurant outside of the center of Parma. Traditional Italian cuisine with traditional service and interior. It is a typical family restaurant but the more expensive one. This season they serve funghi in all sizes. The food is very nice, the menu itself is not so extensive. I especially liked the deserts. The value for money experience is less impressive. Expect to pay almost 50 euro for antipasto and primo and a glass of wine."

Pieter van der Werf

"Italian Class!

Exceptional flavours, well made traditional recipes. Dont miss the duck ragu pasta and of course the bollito misto! I also felt in love with the polenta and mushrooms!

Service was truly outstanding. Professionalism great suggestions and smile at all times! I wish we could experience such a lovely service more often!

Cocchi belong to my heart from the very first moments.

Cant wait to be back!"

Open since 1925, Cocchi is the preferred address for the Parma bourgeoisie and a faithful guardian of the gastronomic orthodoxy of the Food Valley. In its classically elegant halls, you can order a wide variety of delicious cold cuts served with "torta fritta." "Anolini in brodo," the typical "tortelli di erbette," and rice savarin are well-prepared. In winter, the spotlight is on boiled meats, and the oven-roasted stuffed veal shank with Parmigiana is worth trying.

Where to Eat in Parma

Ristorante Cocchi My happy place: Ristorante Cocchi, located just outside of town (but you can walk if you’d like) in an anonymous hotel, is (in my humble opinion) the best restaurant in Parma. Don’t miss the Bollito Misto which is extraordinary. And if you can’t decide which stuffed pasta to get, you can order the Tris: a tasting of three different kinds.
