Reviews Summary

Seta by Antonio Guida is consistently praised for its innovative contemporary Italian cuisine, exceptional Michelin-starred service, and elegant ambiance. Guests rave about the artful plating and balanced flavors, making each course a delightful surprise. While the price point is high, diners overwhelmingly agree that the experience is worth every penny for a truly unforgettable culinary journey in Milan.

"Dining at Seta, located within the Mandarin Oriental in Milan, is an unforgettable journey through contemporary Italian cuisine at its absolute finest. From the moment you enter, everything speaks of elegance, precision, and understated luxury.

Chef Antonio Guida’s menu is a masterclass in creativity and technique — every dish beautifully plated, flavors perfectly balanced, and ingredients treated with the utmost respect. Each course is a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, reflecting the very best of modern Italian gastronomy.

The service is flawless: attentive, knowledgeable, and discreet, creating an atmosphere where you can fully relax and enjoy the culinary artistry. The wine selection is equally impressive, curated to complement every nuance of the menu.

Seta is not just a dinner; it’s a Michelin-starred experience that celebrates taste, texture, and presentation at the highest level. An absolute must for anyone who appreciates fine dining in Milan."

"Having dinner at Seta is not just a meal, it is a food experience. Located inside the Mandarin Oriental, Seta delivers world-class service and unforgettable cuisine. The servers for our tasting menu were warm, attentive, and unobtrusive. Hospitality here has the same attention to detail as the food being served. Chef Antonio Guida and his team deliver a tasting menu nothing short of extraordinary. Each plate is as delicious to eat as it is beautiful to look at. It was seventeen courses, and we left full and happy but not overly stuffed. From pigeon to sea urchin to risotto to three courses of dessert featuring a special Easter bread, everything I ate was unique, delicious, and prepared in a creative way. Seta should be a destination for everyone. Chef Guida and his team have created a celebration of flavor and hospitality that will leave a lasting impression with you. The meal was not inexpensive (it was rather expensive) but it was definitely worth every penny. It is not hyperbole to say dinner was spectacular."

"Amazing restaurant, fully in line of what you would expect from 2 stars. Elegant setting, polite service and amazing food. We took the standard menu and they were kind to allow us to swap some dishes and replace them with a la cart. My number one dish if I had to give rating was spaghetti with sea anemone and prawn tartar equally great was the signature risotto with strawberry and herbs. Then blu lobster but basically every dish was wonderful. Desert was a highlight too. Thank you Seta team for an unforgettable experience."

The 15 best restaurants in Milan

Acclaimed chef Antonio Guida is at the helm of this elegant two Michelin-starred restaurant where chocolate-coloured tones marry with teal blue chairs and green marble fittings. Guida aptly transforms traditional Italian dishes from cucina povera (peasant cooking) into wonderful creations, using ingredients to their full advantage and combining them with French and Asian produce (seaweed; tofu). Sit back in the courtyard and peer at the chefs at work as you tuck into spaghetti with sea anemone, red prawn tartare, black lime and pickled radish cream, a zesty, refreshing creation that is one of the chef’s signature dishes.

The 10 Best Restaurants in Milan, Italy: A Guide to Fine Dining

Within the Mandarin Oriental, chef Antonio Guida has founded his kingdom, supported by the expertise of Manuel Tempesta and Andrea Loi in the dining room. The two Michelin stars conferred on Seta are a result of some of the finest service on the Milanese scene, a perfect combination of precision, attention and friendliness, and from the cuisine of Chef Guida, who seems to enjoy making exceptional what is normally considered somewhat commonplace. And so it is that 'simple' elements such as tomatoes, raspberries or chicken become the protagonists of unforgettable dishes.
