"Local food. Fair prices. All dishes are homemade and fresh. No service- you get the dish and have high tables outside. Recommend for a quick and tasty lunch."

"Stopped by on a Wednesday at 130pm with our lunch reservation with a small dog. We were welcomed upon arrival and seated immediately at this small but popular among locals restaurant.
Overall, we were quite pleased with lunch here - food served was well prepared, tasty and reasonably priced. Service was excellent by friendly English speaking staff.
Antipasto della Casa was tasty and was quite varied and surprisingly filling.
Parmigiana di Melanzane vegetariana was also very tasty and served hot.
Fave e Cicorie were well prepared and tasty.
Polpette alla genovese was delightful with very tender meatballs served in a bowl of hot cooked red onions with olive oil. tasted much like French onion soup with no cheese.
Verdura di stagione stufata was also served hot with a quantity of cooked greens requiring 2 to finish it off.
If you want to experience reasonably priced excellent local food and service, stop by mezzo Quinto next time you're in Lecce."

Let's have a trip in the glam street food of Lecce
In the heart of the historical center, almost in front of the MUST, one of the most interesting cultural centers of Lecce, and a few steps from the Roman theater, there is a small room with majolica and light wood interiors, with gastronomy and inviting perfumes. Outside, some tables where to lay the local food served and prepared following the oldest recipes of Salento cuisine, ranging from pieces of sauced horse meat to municheddhe (snails prepared according to an ancient but never out of fashion tradition ), from a thousand vegetables cooked with an infinite variety of recipes with typical pucce. The quality is worthy of a restaurant, the traditional taste is equal to that of an old trattoria, the costs are those of street food.

Right in the historic centre, a few metres from the cathedral and opposite MUST, the Museo Storico Cittadino (City History Museum) overlooking the Roman theatre, is an address where you can find a concentration of Salento culinary tradition. Pieces of horse meat (on a plate or in a sandwich, as is the local street food tradition), meatballs with sauce or genovese, traditional fifth quarter, parmigiana (Salento style, with batter-fried aubergines) and even orecchiette.
