Reviews Summary
Osteria Santo Spirito is praised for its delicious, authentic Tuscan cuisine at very reasonable prices, with generous portions being a common highlight. While the food is consistently loved, some diners mention slow service during peak times, and it's essential to plan ahead due to popularity. The charming piazza setting adds to the overall positive dining experience.
"We went here twice while we were in Florence for only 2 days. The food was amazing and so was the staff. This is one of only restaurants we went to where the staff was hustling and very attentive. We had the gnocchi, rigatoni ragu, lasagna, spaghetti aolio e olio, and bruschetta. Everything was amazing! Our second time here we sat upstairs and it was very hot, other than that everything was 5 stars!"

"It was very good, very goo prices, nice staff and good food.
We didn’t had a reservation, we started waiting at like 19.20 and to sit outside we waited a little bit, but everyone in the line to sit inside went in so. If you want to sit outside reservation is recommended.
The lasagna was very good, in general the portions as we could see are very big. The steak we took it rare and it was very good. The crostini was also very good. In general all the food we took and we saw other people take was great."

"We absolutely loved staying in Oltrarno and this was our favorite restaurant so far in all of our Italy destinations. We've been to Florence, Chianti, Trapani, Ortigia and now we are in Giardini Naxos just below Toramina. The food everywhere is good but Osteria Santo Spirito was outstanding and extremely well priced. We had the very best bruschetta, each had a pasta starter, get the small option, and shared a florentine steak that was too big to finish for two. Great value for exceptional food. Quality first. I highly recommend eating here but make a reservation or get in line early!!!! Or you can go late, about 9:30 before they close. Casual indoor or outdoor seating in the piazza. We ordered a bottle of Tignanello and our bill was $180.00 euros total. You can't buy the wine in the wine shops here for that price. Insane."

My humans’ all-time favorite restaurant in the city rests at the corner of the square – Osteria Santo Spirito, a dimmed, rustic spot with red decor serving up authentic homestyle Italian food. Pawpular with tourists, students, and locals, the tables at Osteria Santo Spirito (Piazza Santo Spirito, 16/R, 50125) fill up quickly on Friday nights and over the weekend. From tagliatelle with fresh mussels and yellow marinated peppers to gnocchi topped with soft cheese and truffle oil to spaghetti with garlic, oil, and chili pepper, their pasta dishes always taste freshly made and utterly delicious.

One last shoutout I must recommend for an inexpensive and delicious restaurant to go to for dinner would have to be Osteria Santo Spirito. I was recommended to try the truffle gnocchi especially from this place and"¦ wow. Now, I wasn't the biggest fan of truffles or gnocchi when I came to Italy, but they do something different here. Santo Spirito definitely knows what they were doing making this dish and for only a few euros too. This place is a must when it comes to eating delicious food, without breaking the bank.
