You can find some wonderful pasta options at this place, and the staff speaks English even though it does have a more local feel to it, so you don't need to worry about whether or not you will be able to ask about which specials are available--because the specials are usually to die for.

Pawpular with tourists, students, and locals, the tables at Osteria Santo Spirito (Piazza Santo Spirito, 16/R, 50125) fill up quickly on Friday nights and over the weekend. From tagliatelle with fresh mussels and yellow marinated peppers to gnocchi topped with soft cheese and truffle oil to spaghetti with garlic, oil, and chili pepper, their pasta dishes always taste freshly made and utterly delicious.

One last shoutout I must recommend for an inexpensive and delicious restaurant to go to for dinner would have to be Osteria Santo Spirito. I was recommended to try the truffle gnocchi especially from this place and"¦ wow. Now, I wasn't the biggest fan of truffles or gnocchi when I came to Italy, but they do something different here. Santo Spirito definitely knows what they were doing making this dish and for only a few euros too. This place is a must when it comes to eating delicious food, without breaking the bank.

Osteria Santo Spirito – This restaurant has been made famous thanks to social media. I came here with a friend not expecting much, but I was pleased with my walnut tortellini dish and the pici cacio e pepe. Try to snag an outdoor table – it’s located in Piazza Santo Spirito, one of the best squares in Florence.

Osteria Santo Spirito: A little unknown piazza on the other side of the Arno which was one of my favorite retreats during my year abroad. You can get away from the tourists a little and soak up how the true Florentines live. You must sit outside and order the gnocchi.

Not only is this dish my favorite, but so is this restaurant. Osteria Santo Spirito is a quaint restaurant on the other side of the river from all the other restaurants I have mentioned.

After hearing raving reviews from multiple friends on multiple different occasions, I finally decided it was time to cross the Ponte Vecchio and try out Osteria Santo Spirito for myself.

I love Osteria Santo Spirito, not only because the food is tasty, but also because you can get half-portions--and try more than one dish!. Be sure to make reservations.

While Osteria Santo Spirito is a bit of a walk away from the popular tourist spots, this restaurant in Florence is somewhere that anyone visiting the city needs to go.
