What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
La Pentolaccia is praised for its authentic Sicilian cuisine, particularly its fresh seafood and delicious pasta dishes. Many appreciate the cozy ambiance of the historic monastery setting and friendly service, though some have noted inconsistencies in service attentiveness and occasional small portions or blandness. Despite minor drawbacks, it's a highly recommended spot for a genuine taste of Sicily.
"Very nice place, simply amazing food. Service very friendly. I will come back."

"We had dinner outside in the little street, which was a nice place to sit. Inside, the ground floor is also cosy to eat, but the first floor less so. I recommend experiencing the sunset first, and coming here at 8 PM afterwards. After 8, it gets very busy, so you will have to wait in line probably.
In terms of food, I can really recommend the caponata, as well as the fish couscous and the involtini with swordfish. Flavours were outstanding!
The service was a little bit less great. We had one friendly waiter, but the other ones were not so kind. Next to the unfriendliness, the service was particularly well organized or attentive either. We often had to wait quite a while for a waiter to come take our order. Furthermore, some dishes were even forgotten and we had to remind the staff that we actually ordered more food.
Overall, a solid restaurant to visit when in Erice."

"The busiate with red mullet ragu (red mullet/cherry tomatoes/garlic/ roasted almond) was excellent!"

We have been lucky enough to arrive at the place by fate and we could not have asked for a better opportunity. The place is magical, the food is made with so much love and such quality that it is impossible not to leave changed after having passed through here. The pasta (with many gluten-free options), the bread, but above all, the homemade pistachio cheesecake and tiramisu make you wonder if you don't want to live in Erice forever.
