A dim bohemian haunt full of wooden beams and brick-lined nooks and crannies, Libarium Nostrum is one of Cagliari's coolest café-bars. It's an occasional venue for live music and DJs, but the real draw is the outdoor terrace high atop medieval ramparts, the perfect spot for enjoying cocktails and sunset views. Food is available, from panini and other snacks to meat and fish dishes, and it stays open late.

The immense terrace with views of the 14th century towers that once guarded the city and out over the sea, is dotted with gazebos and couches. There is a mix of both live music and DJ sets that adds to the atmosphere. Try the house drink created by the owner Danilo Argiolas with the fetching name Alligator, a mix of Drambuie and Calvados but beware, it has a bite!

After trekking up to the historic centre to admire the Torre dell’Elefante, check out this sweet café. The spacious terrace offers sensational views over the city, port and sea beyond, and it’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner – but most gather here for sunset, and an Aperol spritz sundowner. Rather fabulously, the appetisers come free.

When going for a night out in Cagliari, Caffè Libarium Nostrum should be included in your list because it not only offers a good ambiance, but it also offers amazing view while sipping on cocktails. This bar is placed perfectly on top of the city’s medieval spot, making it the perfect spot for viewing the sunset within a beautiful city. Aside from offering drinks, this place is also a full restaurant that will be able to serve you and your friends some delicious food that cannot be tasted anywhere.

Technically not a rooftop bar at all, but the street level Libarium Nostrum holds an outdoor terrace which such a view, it is well worth a mention anyway. With an elevated position in the Castello area of Cagliari, here you get one of the best views in Sardinia, with amzing panoramics over pretty much all of the city. Both restaurant and bar, Libarium serves everything from great cocktails to nice Italian food as both lunch and dinner.

Questo storico locale, situato nel quartiere di Castello, offre una terrazza panoramica da cui ammirare la città mentre ci si concede una pausa brunch. La proposta gastronomica spazia dalle classiche uova strapazzate con bacon ai croissant farciti e torte fatte in casa, accompagnati da una selezione di succhi freschi e caffè di qualità.

One of the most popular cocktail bars in town, it is located just a few hundred meters from the Cathedral, in Via Santa Croce, and offers a stunning view of the city and excellent drinks and food. If you are looking for a quick lunch you will remember for a long time, go ahead!. In case you manage to book your spot for the evening, though, it will be even better: sunsets from there are incredible.

Libarium: a well-known and fancy bar in Castello (located on Via Santa Croce). Paillotte: a bar, restaurant, beach, and disco pub in an amazing location right next to the sea (on Viale Calamosca sul Mare). And Royale, located at Viale Diaz 52/A, which is my favorite restaurant, which serves Tuscan cuisine and has a friendly atmosphere—all at the right price.

But do not forget to stop for a bit, take a sit, order a glass of Aperol Spritz at Libarium (a bar with probably the best view over the city) and enjoy the view over Cagliari and the sea. The Elephant tower and the San Pancrazio tower were once a part of the city fortifications. You can climb to the top to admire the view from here too.

Libarium Nostrum is a trendy café-bar that serves antipasti, pasta, pizza, and aperitifs. In addition to its delicious menu, the establishment also occasionally hosts live music and DJs. However, the real attraction of Libarium Nostrum is its outdoor terrace, which is located on top of medieval ramparts.

Back up on the old city walls, the Caffè Libarium Nostrum is an open-air lounge bar enjoying some of the best views in town (Via Santa Croce 33; 00 39 346 522 0212). It’s a great place for a coffee break, a snack lunch or just hanging out on a warm evening. It stays open till 2 in summer.

For a sundowner, prime position is opposite the Caffè Libarium Nostrum (15) at 35 Via Santa Croce, on the west side of Castello; the restaurant has set up tables beside the parapet. Note that the already high menu prices are inflated by an un-Italian 20 per cent service charge.

Anschließend spazieren wir durch die engen Gassen und stoßen dabei auf das beliebte Café »Libarium Nostrum« an der westlichen Stadtmauer. Der ideale Ort für einen Aperitif vor einer traumhaften Kulisse bei Sonnenuntergang. Zum Abendessen haben wir bei »Luigi Pomata« reserviert.

Libarium Nostrum has a perfect massive seating area for watching the sunset!. They have a massive selection of cocktails and also dinner, but my favorite is to get an aperol spritz after a day of exploring.

The Marina district comes alive at night; Libarium Nostrum provides a unique spot for cocktails with a view, set in the historic Castello area, perfect for experiencing the city’s vibrant nightlife.
