Tucked away in the heart of Bari, Urban L’assassineria Urbana offers a one-of-a-kind journey through Apulian flavors — and the undeniable star of the show is their pasta all’assassina.
We tried a few versions: the classic, one with tender octopus, and another topped with creamy stracciatella and sweet yellow tomatoes. Each plate was a bold expression of tradition and technique — the pasta seared to a perfect crisp, smoky and spicy, with a depth of flavor that’s unlike anything else we’ve had in Italy.
We paired it with a local Puglian wine that complemented the dishes beautifully, but the pasta is truly the crown jewel — dramatic, fiery, and completely addictive. If you’re in Bari, this place is a must. Come hungry, leave in awe."

"Cool hip place to get fantastic spaghetti assassin! It's not for everyone but it definitely has an unusual but good flavor. We had both the traditional red sauce and the yellow tomato sauce. The yellow was sweeter but just as good as the original. The staff is very friendly with very good service"

"The restaurant gave us for the beginning of our experience a nice appetizer - colourful and very tasty cheesy little thing.
I ordered the puttanesca spaghetti, which turned out as a really nice salty experience, the burned pasta was just so soft and a little crunchy which made it so fabulous. And for the dessert a mousse from olive oil and pistachios - very nice.
Only one minus - waiters were kinda too pushy with grabbing our plates every possible moment when we might finished something, which I don’t find attractive, made the meal hasty, but besides that they were very nice to us and concerned about everyone satisfaction."

Their Killer Spaghetti is amazing, their wines were delicious and the menu is what I would call an eclectic mix of traditional, asian influenced and slightly mexican as well. They offer, in addition to the spaghetti, tacos, poke and one of my favorites, Bao.
